Thai Restaurant Interior Design
Remote Design Service from Bangkok
Thai Restaurant Interior Design for Overseas Businesses
Authentic Thai restaurant interior design created in Bangkok by Queen Enterprise, delivered to your door anywhere in the world. We design Thai restaurants, Thai massage spas and Muay Thai gyms for owners in Australia, the USA, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Your local contractor builds from our drawings, and we can source Thai-made décor and furniture for you.
Why overseas owners hire a Thai design team
Most Thai restaurants abroad are designed by local firms who have never worked in Thailand. The result is often a generic “Asian” look: a few Buddha statues, bamboo and red lanterns. Guests notice. A Thai design team understands which patterns, colours, materials and details really say “Thai”, and which ones are culturally wrong in a dining room.
- Real Thai identity Our designers live and work in Thailand. We use Thai motifs, craft and colour with meaning, not as decoration stuck on a wall.
- Lower design fees In the UK, design fees are commonly quoted at 8–12% of build cost. Our fixed per-square-metre packages usually cost far less than hiring a local designer for the same scope.
- Thai-made décor at Thai prices Teak, rattan, silk, Benjarong porcelain, hand-carved panels and custom furniture can be made in Thailand and shipped to you, often for less than buying imported pieces locally.
- We speak your language, and Thai Many Thai restaurant owners abroad prefer to discuss design in Thai. We work in both Thai and English.
- One team, design to sourcing Queen Enterprise is a full-service design and construction company in Bangkok. The same team that builds restaurants, hotels and showrooms in Thailand designs your space.
Thai restaurant interior design concepts: choose your style
Every Thai restaurant abroad has a different customer and price point, so we design more than one look. Below are four Concept Design examples prepared remotely by the Queen Enterprise team. Pick the direction that fits your brand, and we will adapt it to your floor plan, budget and local building rules.
Concept 1: Royal Thai Heritage – for fine dining and premium locations
Carved Thai lattice screens, Khon masks, Ramakien murals, a marble chef counter and terrazzo floors. This look suits upscale Thai restaurants, hotel outlets and shopping-mall flagships where guests expect a calm, luxurious dinner.

Concept 2: Muay Thai Bangkok Street – for fast casual and street food brands
Bold red, white and blue, boxing-ring details, hanging Muay Thai shorts, a tuk-tuk photo spot and a Thai retail corner. This look suits busy fast-casual Thai restaurants, noodle bars and street food concepts that want energy, social-media moments and extra revenue from merchandise.

Concept 3: Isan Rice Field – for Isan, som tam and Thai barbecue restaurants
Rice field relief murals, a bamboo arch, woven fish-trap pendants and indigo Isan textiles. This look suits restaurants serving northeastern Thai food, as well as brands that want a natural, eco-friendly image.

Concept 4: Thai Spa Sanctuary – for Thai massage shops, day spas and wellness centres
Cream stone, teak, rattan, a Bodhi leaf feature wall and a calm foot massage lounge. This look suits Thai massage shops and day spas abroad that want a premium, resort-like image.

What your local team handles
Our drawings show the design intent for interiors. Building permits, structural work, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and commercial kitchen engineering must follow the laws of your country, so they are prepared and certified by licensed local professionals. We coordinate with them online so the design and the engineering fit together. All dimensions on our drawings are verified on site by your contractor before fabrication.
Thai restaurant interior design: frequently asked questions
Can you design a Thai restaurant without visiting the site?
Yes. We work from your landlord’s floor plan, a LiDAR scan from an iPhone or iPad Pro, or a local measured survey, plus photos and video calls. Your contractor checks key dimensions on site before building.
Which countries do you work with?
We accept projects worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. All communication is online, in English or Thai.
Why is hiring a Thai designer cheaper than a local designer?
Design costs in Thailand are lower than in most Western cities, and we price in fixed packages per square metre. You pay for design, not for overheads in a high-cost city.
Do you also design Thai massage shops and Muay Thai gyms?
Yes. We design Thai massage and spa shops, Muay Thai gyms, Thai cafés and tea shops, pan-Asian restaurants and boutique hospitality spaces with a Thai character.
Will my local contractor understand your drawings?
Our drawing sets are in English with metric dimensions and a clear FF&E schedule, the same format used for international hospitality projects. We can join online meetings with your contractor to answer questions.
Can you ship Thai furniture and décor to my country?
With the Signature package we source Thai-made furniture and décor, such as teak, rattan, silk and Benjarong pieces, and coordinate packing and shipping with a freight forwarder. Import duties and local delivery are arranged in your country.
How do I measure my restaurant for the design?
The easiest way is to ask your landlord for the lease plan, then add a LiDAR scan using an app such as Polycam. We will tell you exactly which points to measure during a short video call.
Do you handle building permits in my country?
No. Permits and engineering must be prepared by licensed professionals in your country. We provide the interior design drawings they need and coordinate with them online.
Can you make my restaurant look authentic Thai without looking like a theme park?
Yes. We use Thai materials, craft and patterns in a restrained, modern way, so the space feels genuinely Thai and still suits a contemporary city restaurant.
How do we start a Thai restaurant interior design project?
Send us your floor plan or a few photos with your location, size and opening date on LINE or by email. We reply with a recommended package and a fixed fee before any work begins.
Ready to bring real Thailand to your restaurant?
Send your floor plan and we will recommend the right package for your space.
