Modern Luxury Interior Design Chiang Rai – Mae Sai Turnkey Home

DESIGN CONCEPT

Modern Luxury Home Interior in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai

Modern luxury interior design in Chiang Rai – this detached home in Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost border town, was delivered by Queen Enterprise as a complete turnkey project. Our team handled everything from 3D design, custom built-in furniture and bookmatched marble feature walls to curtains, wallpaper, loose furniture, bedding and full table styling, so the owners could simply arrive with their suitcases and move in.

Luxury reflects your success. Let Queen Enterprise create the home of your dreams, wherever it is. For our team, even Mae Sai is just around the corner.

Our Most Distant Project, Built to the Same Standard

Mae Sai sits close to a thousand kilometres from our Bangkok office, making this the farthest project Queen Enterprise has completed to date. Distance, however, has never defined the quality of our work. The design standards, site supervision, material selection and attention to detail on this home are exactly the same as on our projects in central Bangkok. We believe every home deserves the same level of craftsmanship, wherever it is located in Thailand.

For homeowners outside the capital, two concerns come up again and again: finding an interior contractor who can genuinely deliver Modern Luxury quality locally, and the stress of coordinating several separate trades on their own. This project shows clearly that owners in Chiang Rai and across Northern Thailand can enjoy the same calibre of luxury home as clients in Bangkok, with a single team taking responsibility from the first sketch to the final handover.

The Brief: Move In With Just a Suitcase

The owners’ brief was clear from day one. They wanted a home that was ready to live in on handover day. They did not want to shop for furniture themselves, deal with separate curtain shops, furniture stores and built-in carpenters, or travel back and forth to check progress. Our team therefore planned the project as a full turnkey service, with every category combined into one coordinated plan: 3D visuals of every room, built-in joinery, curtains, wallpaper, loose furniture such as beds and the dining table, mattresses, pillows and duvets, Pasaya bed linen, and finally props and dining table styling.

The real advantage of one team managing everything is coherence. Every piece is designed to work together from the start. Curtain colours respond to the marble tones, the bedding complements each headboard wall, and the loose furniture flows naturally from the built-ins. When the owners opened the front door on handover day, they found a finished home, ready for everyday life from the very first night.

The Signature Feature: Bookmatched Marble Walls

What truly sets this home apart are its bookmatched marble feature walls. Bookmatching is a technique in which consecutive slabs cut from the same block of stone are opened side by side like the pages of a book. The veining on each side mirrors the other, creating a symmetrical pattern that is completely unique to this house. Walls like these instantly elevate a room, giving it a sense of grandeur and quiet prosperity that befits a successful owner’s dream home.

We chose a different stone for each key space so that every area has its own character. The ground-floor living room uses a cream marble with soft caramel veining, warm and welcoming for guests. The upstairs family lounge features a grey stone with rust-orange veining that feels contemporary and energetic. The master bedroom is anchored by a dark chocolate marble with dramatic, flowing veins that reads like a piece of art behind the bed. Every wall is framed with concealed LED lighting, so the stone glows softly in the evening.

Bookmatching demands careful planning from the moment the slabs are selected. The wall dimensions, joint positions and centre line of the pattern must be calculated so that the veining meets perfectly once installed. Our team also positioned the television, power outlets and lighting to avoid interrupting the main veining, so that each wall reads as a single, uninterrupted artwork.

A Room-by-Room Tour

Ground-Floor Living Room

The cream marble TV wall is the centrepiece of the room, flanked by bronze slats and floor-to-ceiling bronze-tinted mirror panels. The mirrors bounce natural light around the space and make the room feel larger. A flat-fronted TV console in a copper-brown finish, topped with marble, sits comfortably against warm timber flooring and double-layer curtains in a soft mauve tone that filter the daylight beautifully. The living room opens directly onto the dining area, keeping the entire ground floor bright, open and ideal for entertaining.

Dining Room and Crystal Chandelier

A white marble dining table on polished stainless steel legs is surrounded by button-tufted upholstered chairs finished with gold studs. Above it hangs a long rectangular crystal chandelier that draws every eye in the room. The adjacent wall is dressed in a soft white plaster-effect wallpaper, cream slats and gold glass wall lights. Our stylists set the table in full, with gold-rimmed geometric plates, gold napkin rings, wine glasses and a vase of white tulips. In another corner, a dark timber display unit showcases the owner’s collection of art figures, adding a personal touch that makes the house feel truly theirs.

Stairwell and Glass Pendant Cascade

The double-height stairwell has been turned into a gallery moment. A cream and gold onyx-effect stone panel, edged with concealed LED strips, forms the backdrop for a cascading pendant of glass globes suspended at multiple heights. Clear glass balustrades with a dark timber handrail let the light flow between floors and keep the chandelier as the hero of the space.

Master Bedroom

The flowing dark marble headboard wall is the highlight of the master suite. It is framed by dark timber slat panels with a geometric line pattern, while concealed lighting on both sides gives the stone depth and dimension. Black bedside cabinets with gold trim, smoke-grey sheer curtains and a flush concealed door complete a bedroom that feels like a suite in a luxury hotel.

Guest Bedrooms and Dressing Area

The secondary bedrooms take a softer approach. One features a beige fabric-upholstered headboard wall divided by fine rose-gold stainless steel lines, flanked by white fluted panels and crystal wall sconces. Another uses a lit timber niche above the bed. The dressing area pairs a round mirror and white stone vanity top with a black glass wardrobe framed in rose gold. Every bedroom was delivered with bed, mattress, pillows, duvet and Pasaya linen, ready for guests from the first night.

Upstairs Family Lounge

The grey and rust marble TV wall is framed by bronze slats that double as an open screen, dividing the space without closing it off. A cream fabric sofa and a marble-topped round coffee table make this a private retreat for the family, clearly separate from the formal reception areas downstairs.

Bathroom

Black marble-effect tiles with fine white veining, a freestanding white bathtub, a frameless glass shower screen and dark timber blinds create a calm, private spa atmosphere.

How to Make a Modern Luxury Home Look Truly High-End

Modern Luxury is about materials, light and proportion rather than heavy ornament. The principles we applied in this home can work in a house of any size.

  • Let stone be the hero once per room. Choose one feature wall and keep the others quiet so the marble can shine.
  • Keep metal tones consistent. Use bronze or rose gold as the main metal in each area rather than mixing several shades.
  • Layer the lighting. General lighting, concealed lighting and statement fixtures bring materials to life by day and night.
  • Use fabric to soften hard surfaces. Upholstered walls, padded headboards and double curtains balance stone and glass.
  • Match loose furniture to built-ins. Select them together at the design stage so the whole home feels like one composition.

FAQ: Modern Luxury Interior Design in Chiang Rai

Does Queen Enterprise take on interior projects in Chiang Rai and Northern Thailand?

Yes. We work nationwide. This Mae Sai home is an example of a project our team managed from design to handover, and we also serve Chiang Mai and other northern provinces.

Are there extra costs for projects outside Bangkok?

Travel, transport and team accommodation are charged according to the actual distance. These are listed as separate line items in the quotation, with no hidden costs.

Do I need to visit the site often during the project?

No. 3D designs and materials can be approved online, and our team sends regular photo and video updates. Most owners only visit for key milestones such as the final inspection.

What is bookmatched marble and how is it different from standard marble?

Bookmatching places consecutive slabs from the same block side by side so the veining mirrors symmetrically, like an open book. The result is a one-of-a-kind pattern, unlike standard installations where veining runs randomly.

What does a move-in-ready turnkey service include?

It covers 3D design, built-ins, curtains, wallpaper, loose furniture, mattresses, pillows, duvets, bed linen and styling props such as tableware and glassware. The list can be tailored to your needs.

Can I choose my own furniture and bedding?

Yes. You can select pieces yourself or let our team curate them. We will check sizes and colours so everything works with the built-ins and marble walls.

How do I care for a marble feature wall in the bedroom?

Feature walls do not come into contact with water or food, so care is simple. Dust with a soft, slightly damp cloth, avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners, and reseal the stone as recommended.

How long does a full Modern Luxury home fit-out take?

It depends on the size of the home, the number of rooms and the materials chosen, such as special-order marble. We confirm a clear schedule and handover date once the design and materials are finalised.

Can I see 3D visuals before work begins?

Yes. Every room is visualised in 3D and refined until you are happy before production starts, so you see a close preview of the finished result.

How can I request a quotation for a home outside Bangkok?

Send your floor plan and site photos via WhatsApp or LINE @queen-interior, or call +66 96 145 2895. Our team will assess the scope and arrange a site visit.
